He maintains a private practice in Ellicott City, Maryland.
Combining his experience in community mental health counseling and substance abuse counseling with his training at Loyola University Maryland in the integration of spirituality and psychology, he is currently serving as a private practitioner working with a broad spectrum of clients. Among his areas of expertise are anxiety/stress, alcohol & substance abuse/addiction, bereavement (loss/grief), depression , religious/spiritual issues, adjustment issues and life transitions, family & relationship conflicts, self-esteem issues, multicultural/acculturation difficulties , and work/life balance. Dr. Rhoades is an Approved Supervisor in Clinical Professional Counseling by the Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists in the State of Maryland. As clinical supervisor, he provides clinical supervision to graduate level counseling students and provisionally licensed counselors (LGPC) in the state of Maryland.
